A unique

DANIELLE GASPARRO
Sundays in November Residency
Caffe Vivaldi is proud to host this first-ever artist in
residency for vocalist/songwriter Danielle Gasparro.
Every Sunday in November, Danielle will be presenting her
thoughtful, dynamic songs in a
unique and engaging format. Don't miss the chance to enjoy
Danielle's voice as she takes to the
mic, and the piano, with a slightly different lineup of
musicians each week. The fire will be lit, and so
will the sparks destined to fly between Danielle, her band,
and these inspired New York City nights.
Be good to yourself. Join us if you can for this fantastic
series of song.
"Danielle's rich, buttery voice will likely evoke Cassandra
Wilson or Nina Simone. This NYC singer
has a gift for writing original songs that defy
classification...a great addition to your
“jazz/soul” playlist." - MP3 Weekly
"A Rare talent. if you’re not at Danielle’s gigs, you’re
missing something very, very special.” -
Indie Sounds (NY)
"After over 20 years as a live sound engineer, traveling
around the world with act after act, it's
not unusual for me to be moved by a live performance. But
Danielle's is a rare thing. There are so
few people like her left." - David Martell, Programme

Anoche is
what live music should be - spontaneous, intimate, and
genuine. Listening to Dianne Stannish and her band is like
one of the those rare moments at a party where someone gets
out a guitar and gradually everyone stops talking
and realizes they're in the presence of something magical.
It's like that, anyway, if the parties you go to are
populated by singers with achingly clear voices and a gift
for offbeat, haunting lyrics. --J.W. Mason |

performance marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to
promote new original and

genre-specific music featuring original compositions by each
musician in the band.
Guitarist/composer Oren Neiman has been playing regularly in
various New York venues with his acclaimed quartet featuring
Kenny Shaw on drums, Doug
Drewes on bass, and Sam Taylor on Saxophone. Oren's group

Opening with a special set by
Michael Leonhart and friends
JAMIE LEONHART writes and sings dreamy, moody, sometimes
frustrated, but mostly hopeful songs that
have vitriol, heart and humor. Her music has been described
as "sophisticated, deeply soulful and
intelligent," with "smart world-weariness/wariness." Paul
Freeman, of the East Bay Daily News, writes, "New York's
pop/jazz singer extraordinaire Jamie Leonhart entrances with
a silky, soulful elegance. Her original numbers are
beautifully crafted, offering intoxicating melodies and
involving lyrics… She transforms the Muppets' "Rainbow
Connection" into a cabaret tune that's simultaneously lovely
and intriguingly off-kilter, with its darkly carnival-like
organ." |

Thomas Channell
Thomas is
flying in from Berlin, where he now lives, to his New York
home - Caffe Vivaldi - for one night only.
Singer-songwriter
Thomas Channell was born in Sydney, Australia, but grew up
in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Somewhat of a nerd, he has a
Bachelor of Music Honours degree from Stellenbosch
University and an MA from Columbia University, where he
studied on a Fulbright Fellowship. So like, what kind of
like music do you play? Just imagine Sade and Kurt
Vonnegut's lovechild was adopted by Rufus Wainwright and k.d.
lang, with Herbert von Karajan as his Godfather. Differently
put: It's sincere, timeless, music from the soul baby,
mellow, inspiring, thought-provoking, words that read like a
novel, bitter sweet lyrics...Nuf said. Thomas has performed
at all the major arts festivals in South Africa, as well as
venues in Berlin, New York and Mexico City. His first album
"Crowded Sunrise" was released to critical acclaim in South
Africa in 2004 and he has been building up a kick-ass
following in New York, regularly playing at venues including
the legendary CBGB's, Cornelia Street Café, The Knitting
Factory, Lincoln Center, The Living Room, Mo Pitkin's House
of Satisfaction, The King Kong Room (@The Supper Club), and
R&R Bar. Thomas is considered part of the furniture at Caffe
Vivaldi.
